How we became who we are

In 1966, the newly married couple Paula and Robert built a bed and breakfast in one of the most beautiful spots of St. Anton am Arlberg. With a view of the glistening glacier tongue of the "Hohe Riffler,” the hotel name was apt from the very beginning. Even though the glacier for which the hotel was named can no longer be seen today: The impressive mountain world around the hotel still enchants us to this day.

4 hands and a small dream

Paula and Robert kicked off their first season with five double rooms and one single room with running water. A shared bathroom for the family and the guests rounded off the offer.

Paula und Robert

"The secret to our success? A shared vision and the will to tackle all challenges with steadfast resolve. The role of hosts has become our life’s work. To this day, we still find the vocation of bringing joy to others fulfilling."

Though the furnishings may change, our spirit remains the same.

We've truly made a name for ourselves

The Gletscherblick began to grow gradually. Additional beds, hospitality offers with half board and new rooms for contemporary holiday enjoyment were all well-considered milestones on the way to becoming a four-star superior hotel. With the addition of both the ALPIN VITAL wellness oasis and the ALPIN SPA adventure swimming pool, the Gletscherblick could rightfully claim to be one of the most comfortable and popular hotels in the village.

Beyond ****S comfort

The Gletscherblick (glacier view) – Along with our long-standing employees, it’s who we are. The name recalls the warm feeling of being at home in the mountains.

Working alongside us: the future

Paula and Robert have entrusted their life’s work to the capable hands of Sandra and Christian, who in turn are actively supported by their daughters Johanna and Sophia. This mixture of "old hands" and highly trained offspring has prepared the Gletscherblick to meet the challenges of the future. And the future is bright!
