Hosts by vocation

In the Jehle-Kathrein family, cordiality and hospitality are in our genes. Three family generations are steadfastly committed to putting a smile on the faces of each and every guest. A passion for what they do and for enabling holiday memories that last: That’s the Gletscherblick way.

The doers

Sandra und Christian
Always in a good mood, always on the ball. Guest satisfaction is their top priority. Sandra’s parents were positive role models from an early age. As a passionate granter of wishes, she tinkers behind the scenes and in the front of the house to achieve 100% guest satisfaction. Christian is a knowledgeable wine connoisseur and plays the role of host with the optimal mixture of conscientiousness and good humour.

Sandra Jehle-Kathrein

"Deeply rooted in the Arlberg region, we combine traditional values with future-oriented thinking and well-measured courage and openness to change. Our goal is to become even better – with the interest of our guests always in mind."

The future

Johanna und Sophia
Johanna is our on-site organisational wizard. With a bachelor's degree in business management in the tourism industry, this eager globetrotter has gathered valuable experience both at home and abroad. In winter, she makes keeping the Gletscherblick’s reception agenda running smoothly seem like a piece of cake. As a trained patisserie, Sophia also has all options open to her. And yet, she prefers to treat houseguests to her sweet creations in her native St. Jakob am Arlberg.

The parents of success

Paula und Robert
In 1966 the couple married and gave birth to their first "baby": the Pension Gletscherblick. At age 80, Paula is still fully involved in the family business and Robert seldom misses the opportunity to chat with regular guests and see what's going on at the hotel. Their invitations to the “mulled-wine meet-ups” (Glühweintreff) in the Nenis Stadl are cult— not unlike Paula and Robert themselves. THANKS for everything!

"I love to think ahead. I'm always looking for new ideas and inspiration to make the Gletscherblick even more attractive."

One big family

The entire team goes the extra mile to inspire you. First and foremost our long-standing restaurant manager Manuela Zangerl, whose hearty laughter belongs at breakfast like butter on bread. She’s famous for miraculously keeping all guest preferences straight. Or our chef, Paul Markovics, who gives his all for guests each and every day, creates the most refined gourmet menus.

Get to know the staff of the Gletscherblick personally – we look forward to meeting you!
